About Degree
Turn high-achieving into a higher degree
There are many reasons we encourage graduates to apply for an honours year. You might want to build a necessary foundation for postgraduate research. You could be seeking answers to questions about languages no one else has asked. Perhaps you’re pursuing advanced communication skills and subject knowledge to gain a competitive edge in the job market.
Our prerequisite for honours study is at least a credit standard in a specified major. Applications are called for by Departments/Disciplines in October and November each year.
What will you do?
- Attend regular classes for advanced coursework.
- Partner with an academic mentor who’ll support and encourage your intellectual development.
- Produce an extended piece of work (thesis) on a chosen topic.
Further details on Honours are available from Schools and Disciplines in the Faculty.
