The Asia Pacific School of Business was established in 1995 in Singapore as the Kaiyen College (Centre for Asia-Pacific Management Studies)。In 1999, the Ministry of Education and the Private Education Council of Singapore approved the promotion of the Associate degree awarding unit to the current name: The Asia Pacific School of Business, and launched the development strategy approach of renaming, restructuring, transformation and upgrading. In 2004, The Asia Pacific School of Business opened the Department of Physical Education and Sports in accordance with the actual needs of development and kept up with the pace of the times. In 2007, the Department of Physical Education and Sports was approved by the Ministry of Education and the Private Education Council and was officially upgraded to " Asia Pacific School of Sports and Business" to realize the integration of the two schools.In 2015, the board of directors of The Asia Pacific School of Business (Private) Education Group decided that The Asia Pacific School of Business and Asia Pacific School of Sports and Business were merged and approved by the Ministry of Education and the Private Education Council to be upgraded to a university College.The Asia Pacific School of Business upholds to the educational concept of integrating China and the West with the unity of knowledge and practice, refines the characteristics of humanities, art, business, finance, new engineering and management, adheres to the road of mixed teaching, integrates into the Asia-Pacific region and integrates into the Chinese circle. Adhering to the social responsibility and mission of planting(rooted) Star Island and inheriting Huaxia, following the spirit of Open up bright intelligence and clear your ambition, benevolence and universal fraternity, and In the context of the integration and development of higher education in the Asia-Pacific region, we should train the applied, practical and professional talents needed in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the Chinese cultural circle, and continue to provide intelligent assistance for the development of Chinese civilization and society.
The Asia Pacific School of Business now has more than 3,000 students and six schools. It offers 12 associates degrees, 16 joint bachelors degrees, 13 joint masters degrees and 8 joint doctoral degrees, and nearly 50 Chinese and English programs. The Asia Pacific School of Business Practice Learning Model of International learning, experiential learning, cross-cultural learning, peer learning, value-added learning parallel five-in-one learning model and school headquarters study, online remote study, government and enterprise practice travel training model.
The Asia Pacific School of Business was founded in 1995, formerly known as Kijen Academy, English name: The Asia Pacific School of Business, referred to as APSB, adheres to the purpose of "integrating Chinese and Western, knowledge and action" and is committed to cultivating business professionals. Higher preparatory education institutions.
The Asia Pacific School of Business is a joint undergraduate (remote) and master (remote) granting unit authorized by the Graduate School of Business Administration of multiple universities. We also has the right to grant associate degrees and Bachelor's degree. A higher education institution accredited by the Singapore Council for Private Education EduTrust and accredited by the Ministry of Education of Singapore, New Zealand and the Cayman Islands. has successively become the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU), the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE ) , member institutions of the Association of Universities of Asia And The Pacific (AUAP) and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Edu-Cation organization (SEAMEO). At the same time, the courses of The Asia Pacific School of Business have passed the comprehensive academic accreditation of the international academic quality system Quality Matters (QM) and International Association for Quality Assurance in H igher Education (QAHE). In July 2022, our school was fully accredited and recognized by Continuing Professional Development (CPD). We are currently the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities (ASIC) candidate accredited universities.
Currently. We are already a member of ACBSP and AMBA's & BGA. At the same time, it is also trying to apply to join AACSB.
The Asia Pacific School of Business now has five institutes / centres with distinctive features, and the Arts Research Institute is the first or only established in Singapore, including the remote online Academy, the Institute of data Science, the UNESCO key Research (Partnership)-The Asia-Pacific Enterprise Management Research Centre, the China Economic Development Research Centre, and so on. The academic achievements of The Asia Pacific School of Business have been remarkable, and the academic research team has continued to contract professional subject research projects commissioned by the International Business Management Research and Development Organization ((IBMRC)) and the Singapore Innovation and Development Planning Bureau.In order to meet the social demand for lifelong learning and continuing education, The Asia Pacific School of Business has set up remote online colleges and professional colleges to actively explore new teaching models with high quality and efficiency and optimize academic characteristics. The Asia Pacific School of Business (APSB) endeavours to serve those who aspire to learn, offering opportunities and options to equip them for further studies or employment. Founded in 1995, APSB is now a School with more than 4000 full-time students amid many other part-time students, and more than 400 full-time teaching and supporting staff amid many other part-time staff.
On the full-time front, our College of International Education (CIE) operates a “2 + 2 and 3+1 and 1+1+2 scheme”, in which secondary school graduates can select to study from about 30 Associate Degree concentration studies, and proceed to enrol in one of the APSB self-funded undergraduate programmes, earning an APSB honours degree in a total of four years.
APSB also provides other opportunities which encompass Higher Diplomas in a number of specialisations, Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education; as well as Top-up Degree programmes offered in collaboration with the University of South Australia、State University of New York,、Stockton University,、Pennsylvania Business Schooland Boston College.
In fact, Associate Degree and Higher Diploma have years of history in Commonwealth Education System, and are recognised by both employers and academic institutions locally and abroad. We had witnessed many cases in which students thrived while studying for a sub-degree because they had found their passion. While Higher Diploma is more vocationally-oriented, many Associate Degree graduates went on to take up Top-up Degree study in HKBU, and upon graduation some even proceeded to acquire postgraduate degree qualifications from prominent universities overseas and forged ahead with their career. As the saying goes, “All roads lead to Rome”.
For those who need to reinforce their foundation before pursuing higher education, the School offers a couple of choices, which include Diploma Fast and Diploma of College Foundation Studies, both with clear articulation pathways.
To help working adults scale new heights in their career, APSB provides an extensive array of part-time programmes ranging from short courses to postgraduate ones to expand their breadth and depth of knowledge and skills.

The Asia Pacific School of Business sees quality as of primary importance in its commitment to providing continuing education opportunities for the community. A robust quality assurance system aligned with the University’s quality assurance requirements is adopted to ensure that “high standards are achieved” and “learners’ needs are satisfied” through:
A.a well-established academic management structure with a clearly defined division of roles and responsibilities and involvement of externality to govern the planning, approval,implementation, monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of programmes;
B.systematic planning and review of programme curricula for relevancy and appropriateness to accommodate emerging learning needs;
C.engagement of professional practitioners and qualified instructors for course delivery and provision of induction for instructors;
D.careful assessment of teaching and learning effectiveness;
E.timely interventions and follow-up actions to bring about improvements in the quality of teaching and learning; and
F.pledges from the management to commit ample resources to promoting teaching and learning so as to nurture a strong quality culture within the School community.Following the launching of the EduTrust (Educational Trust Guarantee System) by the Singapore Government in May 2008, the School has registered most of its sub-degree programmes, assessed and endorsed by internal quality assurance committees and the University, for an appropriate EduTrust level in the Educational Trust Guarantee System Register. The EduTrust Registration Numbers and Registration Validity Periods of the registered programmes can be found in the individual programme pages on this website.
Quality assurance is a continuing process by which the School strives to achieve its missions. The School will continue to devote effort and resources in quality assurance to serve lifelong learning needs of individuals and the Hong Kong community.
