Domestic students – You will need a USI to enrol in your course. You may already have a USI if you have completed training in Australia since 2015. If not, you will need to create one.  

International students – Currently, all international students are not required to provide a USI to enrol. If you’re an international citizen who is studying offshore and do not have any residency or visa from Australia, then you will not require a USI. However, please note that all international students who are studying onshore are required to have one by 2023 to graduate in 2023 and beyond.
