On February 12, 2025, he was officially appointed as PhD Supervisor by the Joint Graduate School of Traditional Medicine in The Asia Pacific School of Business. He also serves as the Vice Director of the Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedics. He is fully responsible for and presides over:
1. Definition and scope of the department
The Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedics is mainly responsible for studying and treating various diseases of bones, joints and surrounding soft tissues caused by trauma, strain, degeneration and other factors, including fractures, joint dislocations, soft tissue injuries, cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, osteoarthritis, and frozen shoulder.
Through traditional medical manipulation, external fixation, drug therapy, physical therapy, surgical treatment and other methods, students are helped to understand and master the restoration of bone health, pain relief and function improvement.
2. Treatment methods and characteristics
Traditional medical therapies: The Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedics inherits and develops the essence of traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics, such as manipulation, massage, acupuncture, etc. These therapies have unique advantages in the treatment of fractures, joint dislocations and soft tissue injuries, which can reduce surgical trauma and promote rapid recovery of patients.
Modern medical technology: The Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedics also keeps pace with the development of medicine, introduces and applies modern medical imaging technology, such as X-ray, CT, and MRI for accurate diagnosis, and also carries out modern medical treatment methods such as minimally invasive surgery and arthroscopic surgery to meet different teaching and research needs.
Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine: The Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedics emphasizes the combination of Chinese and Western medicine and quantum medicine, and formulates personalized treatment and education training programs based on the specific conditions and physical conditions of different patients. Through the comprehensive use of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medical technology, we can achieve complementary advantages and improve the treatment effect.
3. Department functions and roles
Disease diagnosis: The Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedics studies bone, joint and soft tissue diseases of patients of different races and skin colors through comprehensive medical history, physical examination and necessary auxiliary examination data, and develops accurate diagnosis suggestions and teaching materials in addition to systematic and effective.
Treatment and rehabilitation: According to the systematic and effective accurate diagnosis suggestions and teaching materials, formulate personalized treatment plans, including manual reduction, external fixation, drug therapy, physical therapy and surgical treatment. It also focuses on training students to master how to let patients undergo rehabilitation training and promote functional recovery.
Director of the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a famous traditional Chinese medicine expert in Shandong Province, and a famous teacher in Shandong Province. He is a member of the Jiusan Society. He graduated from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1985 and studied in the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army Navy in Beijing in 1989. He studied under Professor Zhang Zhiyuan, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Li Keshao, a master of Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Professor Liu Xianlin, a master of Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, Professor Li Guangwen, a famous gynecologist, and Professor Zhang Shanchen, a master of acupuncture. He is a disciple of Song Yitong, a master of traditional Chinese medicine and president of the Chinese Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Professor Song has been engaged in clinical and teaching work of traditional Chinese medicine for a long time, with excellent clinical and teaching results. He has been awarded the honorary titles of "Famous Traditional Chinese Medicine Expert in Shandong Province", "Famous Teacher in Shandong Province", "Technical Expert of Health System Staff in Shandong Province", "Advanced Individual in the Promotion of Appropriate Technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shandong Province", and "Top Ten Innovative Technology Experts in Laiyang City". He is currently the director of the Acupuncture and Massage Department and the Warm Needle Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is also the vice president of the Difficult and Complex Diseases Branch of the China Association for the Promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research, the vice chairman of the Shandong Branch of the National Chiropractic and Chiropractic Alliance, the vice chairman of the Chinese Medicine Education Association's Traditional Chinese Medicine Education Promotion Working Committee, the executive director of the Pain Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the vice chairman of the Shandong Acupuncture and Medicine Combination Professional Committee, the vice chairman of the Shandong Massage Professional Committee, and the honorary chairman of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Working Committee of the Shandong Scientific Health Association.
In 2004, the audio-visual teaching material "Appropriate Chinese Medicine Techniques for Common Diseases" recorded by Song Shaojun for the Shandong Provincial Health Department was promoted throughout the province and promoted nationwide by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Professor Song presided over a project of the Shandong Provincial Health Commission, "Qilu Medical School-Collation and Promotion of Characteristic Chinese Medicine Techniques of Warm Acupuncture", which was rated as an "excellent" project when it was concluded in 2023. He presided over two projects of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including "Clinical Research on the Treatment of Breast Hyperplasia with Chest-Opening and Qi-Smoothing Acupuncture Method"; he presided over three projects of Shandong Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Continuing Education Project, including "Promotion and Application of Appropriate Techniques for the Treatment of Chronic Knee Joint Diseases with Fire Needles and Warm Acupuncture"; he presided over a special project of epidemic and education of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, "Research on Necessary Online Education of Chinese Medicine for Epidemic Prevention for College and University Students during the Epidemic". He presided over a provincial-level high-quality resource sharing course "Tuina Techniques"; and participated in the completion of the construction of three provincial-level high-quality courses, including "Acupuncture and Tuina Techniques", "Acupuncture Techniques", and "Meridian Acupoints". The Shandong Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau project "Clinical Research on Moxibustion of Guanyuan and Dazhui Points to Improve Blood Rheology Indexes of Yang Deficiency Syndrome" hosted by him won the third prize of Shandong University TCM Science and Technology Achievements; the Shandong Provincial Community Education Course "Massage Health Care" hosted by him was rated as an excellent community education course by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education.
The students he guided won 1 second prize and 2 third prizes in the three national TCM vocational education skills competitions - acupuncture and massage skills competitions in 2011, 2014 and 2016. Professor Song published 3 national papers in Peking University Chinese core journals, including "Observation on the efficacy of Panlong acupuncture combined with chiropractic treatment of lumbar disc herniation complicated by facet joint disorder"; published more than 10 provincial papers, including "Observation on the clinical efficacy of acupuncture treatment of menopausal insomnia". He compiled 4 medical monographs, including "Cervical Spine Chiropractic Technology" and "Massage Health Care", and edited 7 medical textbooks, including "Cervical Spine Chiropractic". He was the deputy editor-in-chief of 5 books. Among them, the textbook "Acupuncture and Massage Technology" edited by him was rated as a "National Planning Textbook for Vocational Education in the 12th Five-Year Plan" by the Ministry of Education. From 2006 to 2009, Song Shaojun undertook the task of compiling innovative textbooks on massage and chiropractic medicine organized by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and edited and published two textbooks of the new century's national chiropractic medicine innovation textbooks "Cervical Spine Chiropractic" and "Chiropractic Health Care", which filled the gap in domestic chiropractic medicine textbooks and represented the highest level of domestic chiropractic medicine development at that time, and was recognized by relevant leaders of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
