Announcement of Collaborative Dual Degree International Programs between APSB and TUU

The Asia Pacific School of Business (APSB) and Trade union University (TUU) are pleased to announce a landmark collaboration in the establishment of ten dual degree international programs. This initiative represents a significant step forward in international education, aimed at fostering academic excellence, cross-cultural understanding, and global competitiveness among students.

1. Institutional Synergy

The Asia Pacific School of Business (APSB), founded in 1995, is a prestigious global university with campuses around the world. APSB is a member of prestigious academic institutions such as ACBSP, AMBA & BGA and IACBE, as well as a member of international organizations such as UNAI, CPD, ACUNS. The university has obtained multiple top international accreditations and is committed to providing interdisciplinary and globally relevant business education, especially in February 2025, with the support of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Association of Traditional Medicine and several Chinese medicine universities, the "Joint Graduate School of Traditional Medicine" was established. Trade union University (TUU) is a leading national university under the Ministry of Education and Training under the Federal Unions of Vietnam. It has a long history of higher education for 80 years, especially in related fields such as labor studies, liberal arts and management education. The cooperation between APSB and TUU perfectly combines APSB's global expertise resources with TUU's local academic rigor to promote joint research and teaching in areas such as traditional medicine.

2. Dual Degree Programs

The ten programs on offer span a diverse range of disciplines:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): Focused on global leadership, sustainable management, and entrepreneurship, with joint capstone projects involving multinational corporations in Vietnam and ASEAN.
  • Master of Financial Management:      Concentrates on corporate finance, fintech, and risk management, integrating TUU's insights into Vietnam's financial markets with APSB's international finance curriculum.
  • Master of Traditional Medicine:      Encompasses herbal medicine, acupuncture, and integrative healthcare, featuring clinical rotations at TUU's affiliated hospitals and APSB's global health partnerships.
  • Master of Tourism Management:      Emphasizes sustainable tourism, hospitality innovation, and cultural heritage, with fieldwork in Vietnam's UNESCO sites and access to APSB's global tourism enterprise network.
  • Master of Logistics Management:      Centers on supply chain optimization, digital logistics, and green logistics, leveraging industry partnerships with Vietnam's leading  logistics firms and APSB's global trade expertise.
  • Master of Law and Business Management: Focuses on corporate law, labor regulations, and dispute resolution, with joint workshops involving Vietnam's Ministry of Labor and APSB's legal experts.
  • Master of Arts in Arts Management:      Deals with cultural policy, creative industries, and arts entrepreneurship, with collaborations with Vietnam's arts institutions and APSB's global arts networks.
  • Master of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence: Concentrates on AI ethics, data science, and machine learning, providing access to APSB's AI research labs and TUU's tech innovation hubs.
  • Master of Data Management: Focuses      on big data analytics, cybersecurity, and business intelligence, with real - world projects involving Vietnam's tech startups and APSB's data - driven curriculum.
  • Master of Chinese Education:      Highlights bilingual pedagogy, cross - cultural communication, and curriculum design, with teaching practicum in Vietnam's Chinese schools and APSB's Mandarin language programs.

3. Program Structure

3.1 Admissions

These programs cater to a diverse student population. Each program enrolls 300 students each year, of which 70% are international students (from different countries or regions such as China, ASEAN, etc.) and 30% are Vietnamese students. Admission criteria are based on academic performance, language proficiency (English and Vietnamese, as appropriate), and relevant professional experience.

3.2 Curriculum and Delivery

All programs last for two years. In the first six months, students will study at the APSB Online Academy and Chinese partner institutions, focusing on basic courses and global academic frameworks. The second year will be spent at the TUU campus in Vietnam (TUU offers 30% of the courses and APSB offers 70% of the courses), focusing on advanced theory, research methods, international case studies and industry-specific modules. The last six months will be spent at the APSB Singapore campus, including practice and study tours, visits and thesis defense.

3.3 Graduation

Upon successful completion of the programs, a joint graduation ceremony will be held at TUU's campus in Hanoi. Graduates will receive dual degrees from both institutions, which are recognized by Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training and APSB's accrediting bodies.

3.4 Tuition

Tuition fees for the programs will be determined through mutual agreement and clearly outlined in a formal contract. Additionally, joint scholarships will be available for outstanding students, with priority given to those from underserved regions.

4. Strategic Significance

This collaboration is expected to enhance the global competitiveness of students, equipping them with cross - cultural skills and industry insights. It will also leverage the complementary strengths of APSB and TUU, fostering research and innovation in critical areas such as sustainable tourism, AI ethics, and labor rights. Moreover, it will strengthen the institutional ties between the two universities and contribute to the overall development of international education.
