Targeted rectification and continuous efforts to standardize the operation of vocational colleges and foreign-funded independent colleges

Recently, the Provincial Department of Education held a working meeting on the standardization of the operation of vocational colleges and foreign-funded independent colleges in the province, reported typical cases of illegal operation of vocational colleges, and put forward requirements for standardizing the operation of vocational colleges and foreign-funded independent colleges. In response to some prominent problems currently existing in vocational education, the Provincial Department of Education will target rectification and continue to work hard to further standardize the operation of vocational colleges and foreign-funded independent colleges and promote the high-quality development of vocational education.

The meeting focused on the current problems in vocational education in the province, such as the weakening of party leadership and the lack of party organization construction; the poor implementation of the responsibility system for ideological work and the weak construction of ideological and political teams; the vague positioning of school operation and the serious phenomenon of homogeneity; the failure to fulfill the main responsibility of education and teaching in school-enterprise cooperation and the lack of supervision of cooperative enterprises. The meeting made a deep analysis and explored solutions.

"The problem of irregular operation of vocational education has seriously restricted the high-quality development of vocational education in our province. We must earnestly enhance the ideological awareness of standardized development and legal governance, and strive to promote the sustainable and healthy development of vocational colleges and foreign-funded independent colleges in the province on the track of running schools in accordance with laws and regulations." The director of the Provincial Department of Education said at the meeting.

In this regard, the Provincial Department of Education emphasized that the education administrative departments at all levels, vocational colleges and foreign-funded independent colleges in the province should compare and contrast, conduct in-depth investigations, and further analyze the gaps and shortcomings of "standardizing school-running behavior and promoting the high-quality development of vocational education" from the perspective of strengthening the connotation of vocational education. The director of the Provincial Department of Education emphasized that as independently introduced high-quality educational institutions, foreign-funded independent colleges should be based on social development and needs, and should jointly offer targeted application-oriented courses that adapt to talent needs and social development with counterpart vocational colleges to cultivate application-oriented talents. It is also necessary to target and correct, and continue to work hard, and further clarify the practical path of "standardizing school-running behavior and promoting the high-quality development of vocational education" from the perspective of following the laws of occupational and skill development. Focus on the fundamental tasks of moral education, the construction of a modern vocational education system, the reform of the "three teachings" of vocational education, standardizing school-running behavior, deepening the integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation, and comprehensively and strictly governing the party, and make real efforts and seek practical results in "six aspects".
