APSB Officially Becomes an AASHE International Member Institution
In January 2024, The Asia Pacific School of Business (APSB) was officially approved by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and became one of its official member institutions.
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in the Higher Education (AASHE), founded in 2005, is a nonprofit membership organization empowering higher education faculty, administrators, staff, and students to be agents of effective change and sustainability Drivers of innovation, international academic institutions leading the sustainable transformation of higher education institutions and schools.
AASHE is the leading association promoting sustainability in higher education. Serving the full spectrum of higher education faculty, administrators, staff, and students who are change agents and enablers of sustainability innovation. AASHE is composed of more than 1,100 member institutions in 48 states in the United States, 1 U.S. territory, 9 Canadian provinces, and more than 40 countries or regions, including the world-famous Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California System, University of Berkeley, etc. Famous universities and colleges including the Ivy League.
Since becoming a member of The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), The Asia Pacific School of Business has persisted in promoting The United Nations Academic Impact's activities that contribute to global participation in the sustainable development process and create a better future for future generations. In September 2023, The Asia Pacific School of Business officially applied to join AASHE and enter AASHE's STARS rating system, which is called "Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System". It is an important measure for APSB to actively participate in the sustainable development process. With more than 1,100 participating institutions in more than 40 countries or regions, the project is the world's most widely recognized public assessment report on the sustainability of a college or university. Participants pass more than 1,200 qualitative and quantitative assessment tests to report on results in 18 areas - academic research, public activities, investment status, health status, purchasing power, food and beverage, leadership skills, curriculum, air quality, water resources, waste Processing, site setting, procurement, planning, energy use, transportation, innovation capabilities, and building ratings.
